Connect Cline to Synap

3 steps · about 2 minutes

  1. Get a free key

Sign in with Google at synap.linkrra.com — no card. Your key starts with sk-pool-.

  2. Point Cline at Synap

One command sets the address, the model and your key. In VS Code the same three values go under the OpenAI Compatible provider.

    cline auth openai \
      -b https://synap.linkrra.com/v1 \
      -m qwen3-coder-30b \
      -k sk-pool-...
  3. Give it a job

Ask for what you want in plain words, exactly as before.

    cline "your task"
Notes, prices and limits

Cline’s OpenAI Compatible provider: base URL, key, model. Recommended model: qwen3-coder-30b — $0.0675 in and $0.27 out per 1M tokens, 98,304-token context.

Optional, under Model Configuration: set the context window, turn image support off, and enter the input and output prices so Cline’s cost counter matches your bill.

On the free tier: every request counts input and output against 100,000 free tokens a day, and answers stop at 4,096 output tokens. Coding agents send long prompts, so the free tier covers a short session; credits cover the rest.

Recorded with the Cline CLI, which uses the same OpenAI Compatible provider as the extension.

Field names from Cline docs: OpenAI Compatible, checked 2026-10-31 22:40 UTC. Prices refresh from /v1/models when this page loads.
