Free capacity is also capped across all free accounts per day. If that runs out first, the API says so and it resets at 00:00 UTC. These terms are read live from /api/account/free-tier, the same settings the gateway enforces.

Other models, and more than the daily allowance, use credits: from $10 by card, $1 in TON or USDC. Credits you buy never expire. A free key asking for another model gets a 402 with a top-up link, not a surprise bill.
